Love Island star Curtis Pritchard’s Instagram cruelly hacked with bizarre posts – as personal messages and photos are placed at risk

Love Island star Curtis Pritchard apologised to fans after confirming the news that his Instagram page had been hacked on Tuesday, after a string of bizarre messages popped up on his feed.

The professional dancer – who recently confirmed he’d landed a gig on The Greatest Dancer as a receptionist – took to Instagram to reveal his page had been taken over by hackers after it was flooded with posts offering giveaways for iPhones, MacBooks and Apple Watches.

Curtis' spokesperson told The Sun Online: “I can confirm Curtis account has been hacked earlier today.

"We are working with Instagram’s team to reinstate the account which will happen later today".

AJ Pritchard’s younger brother – who recently revealed he was open to dating a man in future – took to social media to say sorry to fans for the confusion.

“Sorry for any random changes and uploads to my Insta I was hacked… but I’m back and all back to normal again,” he said.

Curtis has 1.5 million followers on his Instagram account alone.

The hackers could have gained access to his e-mail address, which could have resulted in personal photos and messages making their way online.

Luckily, it appears that Curtis managed to fix the problem relatively quickly – and rapidly returned to posting funny content for his thousands of fans.

His most recent post revealed his excitement at working on The Greatest Dancer, alongside stars such as Cheryl and Strictly Come Dancing’s Oti Mabuse.

Curtis only recently revealed the “amazing” news that he will be appearing on the next series of the popular BBC show, replacing Amelia Wilson as the receptionist .

Breaking the news to fans on Twitter, Curtis shared a video of himself speaking to the camera saying: “Hey guys! It’s Curtis Pritchard here. I’ve got some amazing news.
