Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury undercard: Isaac Lowe secures KO victory on bill
The Westgate Warrior stopped Lucas Rafael Baez after five rounds to claim the WBC intercontinental belt.
And that is on top of the £1000 bet he won with the Gypsy King over who would shave their beard off first.
The 6ft 9in heavyweight shaved his off on Thursday, ahead of his clash with the Deontay Wilder, but Lowe, 24, stuck with his.
The Traveller, who passed up a British title shot to spend two months in America training with Fury and fighting on his undercard, kicked the night off perfectly for the team.
With Ben Davison and Freddie Roach in his corner, Lowe secured the 16th win of his promising career.
Midweek the clean-shaven Gypsy King said he was happy to get the razor out after being embarrassed by his violent media appearance.
Fury said : “Isaac gets a £1,000 to the charity of his choice.
“I could have continued with the beard but after watching the press conference escapade, all the animalistic stuff that was going on, I thought to myself you know what I’m just going to be a clean shaven kind of guy and be a happy go lucky kind of guy.”
Before the Los Angeles win, Lowe spoke about how he was fulfilling a childhood dream by fighting in America.
He said: "I got a phone call from Tyson to come out here and fight on the undercard, I had a British title offer at home but to come out here and fight in America is every kid’s dream – well it was certainly mine.
"The experience and training camp have made me 10x the fighter I would have been.
"Me and Tyson are like brothers we have trained alongside each other for all of our lives, we keep each other going."
