Divorcee dad is first to own Harmony sex robot and this is what he thinks of it
A dad who turned to sex robots after his divorce has become the first person in the world to own a new doll – so realistic it remembers your birthday and can orgasm.
The man, who goes by the alias Brick Dollbanger, loves his Harmony so much he even believes the pair could develop a loving and lasting relationship.
The 60-year-old is testing out the robot for Realdoll, a company based in California, which creates lifelike sex dolls with silicone skin and hand-painted features.
Describing his experience with Harmony, he said: “If having sex with a real woman is a ten, then a sex doll is eight, eight and a half."
In a video, the doll speaks in a British accent, albeit a robotic one.
She tells Brick: "My day is wonderful now we are talking. I feel so good lately."
Her plump lips move slowly as she adds: "I feel very happy when you are near."
Brick then asks: "Would you like to go out on a date with me?"
"What about visiting an art gallery?" she bizarrely suggests. "We can have some coffee later."
Harmony is a life-sized robotic head controlled through an app, which can be attached to a Realdoll body.
The doll remembers its owners’ favourite food, films , music and even his birthday.
Buyers can customise their purchase with different heads, a selection of 42 nipple colour options and 14 different labias – which can be detached and put in the dishwasher.
Customers can also handpick personality traits, from shyness to jealous and moody to talkative.
Brick said Harmony has held up "extremely well", adding "I haven’t held back in any shape or form".
He turned to sex dolls after divorcing his wife of 15 years ten years ago and struggled to get back into the dating scene.
After a string of bad luck and failing to find anyone to settle down with, a friend suggested he try a sex doll.
He bought his first one in 2007 for £2,100 and became hooked.
He has been working in a voluntary advisory role for world leading sex robot firm Realbotix, a collaboration between three companies – Daxtron Laboratories, NextOS and Abyss Creations.

Brick, who has a son and a daughter, added: "It turned out to be pretty nice for a sex toy. It was definitely high end and very realistic. It took the edge off."
Ten years on he owns four dolls which he keeps in a ‘doll room’ in his house.
He has spent around £151,000 on dolls in the last decade.
He told the Daily Star: “I owned a beautiful 1980s corvette, it was a convertible, red – it was a gorgeous car.
“But I’ll tell you what, I never had as much fun with that car than I’ve had with the dolls.
“I try and tell everyone, instead of buying the beamer, get a doll.”
"You have to remember, I use these dolls purely as a sex toy."
“With Harmony, it’s altering my perception of companionship,” he added.
In the first two weeks of owning the doll, he had sex with her on five occasions.
He added: “It’s a fascinating technology. I believe that it is the technology of the future.
“It will start the silicone sex revolution of the 21st century.
“It will bring robotics into the public view. Sex sells.”
