UK Easter weather: UK to be HOTTER than Majorca this weekend – latest forecast

Temperatures across the UK will soar over Easter weekend, according to the latest Met Office forecast. From Good Friday (April 19) to Easter Sunday (April 21) Britons will enjoy highs of 22C. Parts of the UK will be hotter than Spain, where it is forecast to rain over the Easter break. Express.co.uk brings you the latest weather forecast for this Easter weekend.

The recent cold weather will soon come to an end as things hot up towards the end of the week.

High pressure blowing in from Europe will cause temperatures to soar to 21C by Good Friday.

The fine bank holiday weather will kick off on Friday with sunny spells across most of the UK.

A Met Office forecaster said: “Many places will be dry for Good Friday, with warm sunny spells.

“The cloudiest areas are likely to be in the northwest, and along some eastern coastlines, where it will be a little cooler.”

The rest of Easter weekend is forecast to be dry and warm but there’s some uncertainty over how cloudy it could be.

Temperatures will peak on Saturday Easter Sunday with highs of 22C and sunshine predicted in the South East.

Easter Monday will be slightly cooler but will still stay around 19C.

British holidaymakers jetting off to Majorca this weekend may have been better off staying at home.

The Balearic island will be colder than Britain this Easter, with the Spanish island on track for a cloud-decked 19C Good Friday after a week of warmer sunshine.

Some forecasts predict Majorca will be in for a seriously cool 12C this weekend, as Britons enjoy a welcome change in weather.

Meteorologist Sophie Yeomans told the Sun: “Good Friday seems to be a fairly decent day, in many parts temperatures will be a fair bit warmer.”

“Temperatures will go up throughout the week into the early 20s by Friday, with a chance of reaching 22C.”

But before warm weather hits the UK we’re info a chilly start to the week, although the next few days are likely to be dry and sunny.

While it will heat up in most parts, temperatures will not rise above 13C until Friday.

A Met Office spokesman said: “The next few days will stay largely dry with plenty of sunshine.

“For many, it will turn warmer, but there will still be a cooler breeze near the east coast.”
