The 10 Movies You Need to See This May

Cue the Justin Timberlake meme—it’s finally May. In addition to the sudden reintroduction of al fresco dining into your social calendar this Spring, you’ll need to make time to head to the theater because there are some seriously good movies coming out this month.

After her husband of 23 years abruptly files for divorce, 43-year-old Deanna (played by the hilarious Melissa McCarthy) decides to enroll in college to finish her degree. The only problem? But it’s not long before Deanna really starts leaning into the whole college thing and becoming, you guessed it, the life of the party. Maya Rudolph and Julie Bowen also star.

Solo: A Star Wars Story

May 25

Nerds, rejoice! The latest installment of the extended Star Wars saga is here, and this time it’s a throwback to the early stages of the relationships between Han Solo (played by Alden Ehrenreich), his future copilot Chewbacca (voiced by Joonas Suotamo) ,and Lando Calrissian (played by Donald Glover). Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, and Woody Harrelson also star.
