‘American Choppers’ executive producer Franco Porporino has inked a deal to develop a new mining competition show with Discovery’s ‘Gold Rush’ star Todd Hoffman RadarOnline.com exclusively learned.
“Todd Hoffman is truly one of the nicest guys I have ever met,” Porporino told Radar. “Hoffman is a reality star genius. He made ‘Gold Rush’ what it is today, and Greenhorn Gold is going to be even bigger! It’s going to be an amazing show and we are going to change people’s lives, when they win real gold!”
Porporino revealed to Radar that he was working on the project alongside Emmy Award winning producers Thom Beers and Jeff Conroy, formerly of Original Productions/ Fremantle, who have produced Deadliest Catch, Storage Wars, Monster Garage and so many others.

Porporino is an executive producer on the project along with Jose Behar, Todd Hoffman and BobCat Partners and Zum Media who are producing it.
Porporino is dominating the reality TV world after he played a pivotal role in bringing back Discovery’s hit reality TV show ‘American Choppers.’

Porporino credited A-list comedian George Lopez for the introduction into the business. Porporino said, “George Lopez is the most selfless giving person I have ever met. I owe a tremendous about of my success to this man.”
Porporino is also breaking into the world of scripted television, producing a scripted series on the life of a former NYPD police commissioner.

“It’s a crazy business but I am thankful and at times it’s hard to believe that I broke through and have come this far so quickly,” he told Radar.
