Arsenal fans have been left unhappy at Match of the Day 2’s coverage of the Gunners’ 2-1 defeat to Manchester United.
It was a significant day at Old Trafford with Arsene Wenger making his last appearance there as Gunners boss.
But the Frenchman’s appearance ended in misery with Marouane Fellaini scoring a last-minute winner to hand United all three points.
To make matters worse, the highlights and analysis on Match of the Day 2 later that night only further angered Arsenal fans.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who played all 90 minutes on Sunday, still managed to shine in defeat. However, the 20-year-old didn’t receive a single shout out on BBC’s highlight show.
One fan tweeted: "Ainsley Maitland-Niles, a 20-year-old English midfielder, won Man of the Match today in a game that featured Aubameyang, Pogba, Lukaku & Alexis. Zero mention on MOTD. Imagine if that was a player from any other club. There’d be an hour-long tribute."
Along with 916 retweets and 2271 likes, the post received plenty of support…
