Artie Lange Slams Howard Stern's Tell-All Book: 'How Much More Money Does He Need?'

The longtime feud continues for Artie Lange and Howard Stern! Lange slammed his rival on the New Jersey 105.1 podcast, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Lange joined host Steve Trevelise in the studio on Thursday, August 23, along with Reverend Bob Levy and Matt Bridgestone, to discuss his thoughts on the Shock Jock’s latest autobiography, which is set to hit shelves September 25.

“You know what’s going to aggravate me, is if he makes more money writing about me than I did writing about me,” Lange, seemingly annoyed, admitted. “How much more money does he need to throw on the pile for crying out loud! He’s writing a tell-all book, what’s he going to tell? Everything is out there.”

Lange previously revealed that he was contacted by a book publisher informing him that Stern was planning on dedicating some parts of the book to him.

“I’m curious to see what it is,” the 50-year-old said. “He is a master of marketing and he’s got me curious to see what the book will be. Two chapters are supposed to be about me.”

Lange has been open about their fallout following his departure from The Stern Show because of his ongoing drug battle. But he admits the radio mogul gave him more chances than anyone else on the show.

Specifically, the troubled comic explained that part of his job while working on The Stern Show was being able to write jokes for Stern. But he was unable to do so and instead of getting fired, Stern allowed him to “fail up.”

“He never used one of my lines,” Lange explained on the podcast. “I stunk at talking in his voice. I just couldn’t do it… I just couldn’t write for other people. So I’m like, I’m going to get fired, because they’re going to say, you’re out of the running because this is a key part out of the whole thing.”

Lange continued, “So they call me — Gary and Howard after the show — because stuff I was saying was working, but not the writing. And they made it sound like this was a big part of it so I thought, ‘I’m going to get fired.’ But Howard says, ‘none of the stuff you’re writing is working so listen I’m going to leave your mic on all the time.”

“No one else has that; even Robin’s mic got turned down,” Lange added. “So he said ‘the only two people who’s mic will be on the whole time are me and you.””

As Radar exclusively reported, Stern, 64, has yet to comment on the book release. One can only wonder what scandals will be uncovered.
