Kendall Jenner’s recent comments that she’s “super selective” about which fashion shows she’ll do — because “I was never one of those girls who would do like 30 shows a season or whatever the f - - k those girls do” — sent reverberations through New York Fashion Week, as models from more meager beginnings than the Kardashian clan bristled.
Supermodel Carol Alt commiserated with the masses, telling Page Six: “I was the daughter of a fireman. What chance did I have against the Gwyneth Paltrows of the world? They were Hollywood elite, and Hollywood royalty.”
She said, “I remember losing my Lancôme contract to Isabella Rossellini. I took Lancôme to No. 1, and they wanted royalty. I was a new young face so Lancôme dropped me . . . But the best part about it is that Covergirl picked me up, and I took Covergirl to No. 1. So it worked out just fine.”
Jenner’s insisted her words were “twisted.”
