Charges Against Gretchen Wilson Have Been Dismissed

The criminal charges against country star Gretchen Wilson have been dropped.

Wilson was arrested on August 21 at a Connecticut airport after she caused “a minor disturbance” on an incoming flight.

Police charged the Grammy-winning country music star with breach of peace.

A court clerk in Enfield Superior Court in Connecticut cleared Wilson of the charge on Thursday after she agreed to donate $500 to charity for injured crime victims, according to reports.

The charge will be officially dropped only in 13 months, on condition that she stays out of trouble in the court’s jurisdiction.

The incident took place as a flight on which Wilson was traveling was approaching Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. An argument between Wilson and another passenger over the airplane’s first-class bathroom escalated into a physical altercation, according to reports.

Wilson, who rose to fame with her 2004 Grammy-winning country song, “Redneck Woman,” also got entangled in an ordeal on a plane a decade ago.
