Coleen Rooney accuses Rebekah Vardy of ‘informing press of her private online posts’ in shock post
Coleen Rooney has accused Rebekah Vardy of "informing the press about her private online posts" in a lengthy social media message.
The 33 year old took to Instagram to call out the pregnant star in a post to her 749,000 followers.
She wrote to fans: "For a few years now someone who I trusted to follow me on my personal Instagram account has been consistently informing [a national newspaper] of my private posts and stories.
"There has been so much information given to them about me, my friends and my family – all without my permission or knowledge.
"After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be, for various reasons, I had a suspicion."
Coleen continued to tell her followers how she cleverly came up with a plan to catch the mystery source out.
"To try and prove this, I came up with an idea. I blocked everyone from viewing my Instagram stories except ONE account. (Those on my private account must have been wondering why I haven't had stories on there for a while.)
"Over the past five months I have posted a series of false stories to see if they made their way into [the newspaper].
"And you know what, they did! The story about gender selection in Mexico, the story about returning to TV and then the latest story about the basement flooding in my new house.
"It's been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have ben leaked, however I had to.
"Now I know for certain which account / individual it's come from.
"I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It's……….Rebekah Vardy's account."
Coleen's fans were quick to rally around the star, with one writing: "That’s disgusting.
"As someone in the public eye herself you would have thought she’d have wanted to protect your privacy just like she would want hers protected.
"Imagine how she would feel if this was the other way around. I would like to see what excuse she comes up with or if she admits it and apologises to you. Well done for getting to the bottom of it."
A second added: "You must feel so betrayed Coleen I’m sorry this has happened to you."
It was reported earlier in the day that Coleen's £20million Cheshire house — which she shares with husband Wayne and their four sons — had been flooded as Storm Lorenzo hit the UK, which OK! online found to be untrue.
A source told The Sun: "The house is Wayne and Coleen’s dream, so to see it being damaged has been horrible for them.
"Coleen has been hard at work with the architects and builders since she came back to the UK from America with the boys.
"She wants to get the place perfect for when Wayne moves back permanently from his US footie club to join them in January.
"She was called in to find the cellar had been flooded. It was really upsetting."
