Celebrity parents took to social media to share emotional posts that marked their children’s first day at school.

And Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy were among the stars to post sweet snaps of their little ones getting ready for school, or posing in their school uniforms, to celebrate the occasion on Tuesday.

The WAG, 33, shared a picture of her and husband Wayne’s sons Kai, nine, Klay, six, Kit, three, and nineteen-month-old Cass in matching pyjamas as she joked about ‘getting back into routine’ of taking three of her four children to school.

Coleen’s little ones looked adorable in white T-Shirts which had their name engraved across the front, which they paired with green floral shorts.

Meanwhile, Rebekah, 37, was the picture of pride when she shared a snap of her daughter Sofia and son Finley, who she shares with husband Jamie, as well as her son Taylor, nine, dressed in their school uniforms.

The trio beamed in delight for the picture, but the WAG couldn’t help but reminisce about how time flies, as she wrote in the caption: ‘Can you all stop getting so big now….’

The This Morning host admitted she was overwhelmed with emotion as she led the celebrities marking their children’s first day back at school on social media on Monday.

In another snap posted to her Instagram account, Holly held hands with her youngest son Chester, four, as she dropped him off at primary school before her comeback to This Morning following a two-month break.

On her return to the ITV daytime programme with Phillip Schofield, the TV star revealed she ‘couldn’t sleep’ over her son’s massive milestone, before joking she needs an Aperol spritz to get her though the day. 

Celebrity Juice star Holly – who is also mother to Harry, 10, and Belle, eight, – admitted she’s overwhelmed with emotion to watch her enter reception – the first stage of primary schooling in the UK.

In the image, the Brighton native cut a smart figure in a grey blazer and toted a leopard print bag by Hill & Friends as she held hands with her beloved son. 

The TV personality penned: ‘And he’s off… full of a whole host of emotions watching him walk through the classroom door… my baby is growing up…’

She went on to express her appreciation towards ITV for allowing her to see her son off at school ahead of her return to This Morning alongside Phillip, 57, later in the morning.

During her appearance on This Morning, Holly confessed she felt nervous about her son starting school for the first time.

She told her TV husband: ‘I couldn’t sleep! I didn’t know if it was because of Chester’s first day or us back to term!

‘I have had an eventful morning taking Chester to school. I felt more emotional than I thought, he was a bit nervous but he is only there until midday, so I will find out how he got on when we are here.’

Stacey Solomon revealed her eldest son Zachary, 11, is off to Secondary School after two years of homeschooling.

Holly has been on a two month-long break from her work duties to enjoy quality time with her children.

‘Big day for Chester tomorrow, 1st day of school… Good-luck to anyone else starting their school journey…can’t believe he’s at this stage already’, she added.
