Slipknot singer Corey Taylor has teased his new mask on Instagram.
Taylor revealed the new mask that he will be wearing on the band’s upcoming tour dates in support of their next album, due in 2019.
Taylor’s post includes the caption “Soon…” and the hashtags #newface, #2019, and #wanyk, which confirms the band’s upcoming album.
Recently, Taylor had confirmed that Slipknot will begin recording their sixth studio album in January.
Provoked by a fan’s comment on Twitter that the band would hit the studio only in 2020, the Slipknot frontman tweeted: “No no- 2019. That’s what I said. Recording in Jan. Album out middle of 2019.”
Slipknot’s European tour, set for June 2019, is well-timed to promote the new album. It will be Slipknot’s sixth album, a follow-up to 2014’s .5: The Gray Chapter.
