It seems like all of our favorite old TV stars are expecting kids these days. Aside from Josh Peck, David Henrie just joined the list of soon-to-be fathers when he posted about the news on Instagram.
On Wednesday, David posted a gender reveal video for his first child with his wife, Maria Cahill. In the vid, the two look so excited as they pop a black balloon and are showered with pink glitter in celebration of their new baby girl!

“ITS A GIRL ITS A GIRL ITS A GIRL,” David wrote on the post. “Im a Poppa!!!!!!! Im so overwhelmed with joy I had to share this with you guys. I’m already singing ‘I Loved Her First’.” He then went on to make a pretty tone-deaf joke about needing a shotgun (girls can take care of themselves, David!).
David is really excited about being a father. He wrote on his Instagram story, “After getting married my life started to take on a meaning and importance that’s indescribable…I’d never felt before and made me such a better person…I can not (sic) wait to see what being a poppa brings. I can not (sic) wait!!!!!”
He also admitted that he is probably going to be a super cheesy dad, which we are SO here for. David prob tells the best dad jokes.
He finished his Instagram post saying, “I can’t wait to sit her down on a couch and tell her a 9 season story of How I Met Your Mother.” OMG can we please get a HIMYM spin-off called How David Met Maria? I’d watch that.
