Frank Ocean’s Blonde Goes Platinum

Frank Ocean‘s 2016 classic album Blonde, has officially been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Blonde, which has passed one million sales, reportedly hit the mark earlier this month. However, the achievement came to light only this past Tuesday when producer Vegyn, who played in Ocean’s live band, confirmed the news via Twitter. The landmark achievement was confirmed on July 9 by the R.I.A.A., notes Fader.

His Channel Orange album reached gold status back in 2013.

Ocean last released a cover of the 60’s classic “Moon River” back in February. The cover marked Ocean’s first release of 2018 and thus far hasn’t been linked to a greater project at hand.
