‘Friends’ reunion will not be ready for HBO Max launch

The highly anticipated “Friends” reunion will not be ready for the launch of HBO Max, Deadline reported.

The reunion was meant to debut in May on the new streaming service at the same time that HBO Max made available all of the classic comedy’s episodes.

Shooting for the reunion special — which is meant to include Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer — had already been delayed because of the coronavirus crisis.

But producers still were hopeful that the special could film in May, and make the HBO Max launch date.

The show is meant to shoot on the same soundstage at Warner Bros. where the original show was made.
