A tour bus for synth-pop legend Gary Numan fatally struck a 91-year-old man in Cleveland on Monday, a report said.
The “Cars” singer’s bus was making a right turn in downtown Cleveland at around 12:45 p.m. when it slammed into the elderly man, who was pushing a cart across the street, according to News 5 Cleveland.
Numan, who had been scheduled to play Cleveland’s House of Blues on Monday, expressed regret over the incident.
“We are all utterly devastated by the fatal accident involving our tour bus in Cleveland earlier today,” he wrote on Twitter.
“Everyone of us is filled with a sadness that made it impossible to even consider playing our show this evening, and out of respect it would have been entirely wrong.”
It was not clear if Numan was on the bus at the time of the crash.
No arrests were made Monday and the accident was under investigation by Cleveland police.
