Gerard Butler stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Thursday (October 25) and talked all about his film Hunter Killer and how he ended up doing a press conference at the Pentagon.
“Unfortunately, they put in the real reporters, not the fake ones,” the 48-year-old actor joked. “The Navy was incredible in supporting us with this movie and so I was invited to the Pentagon, I thought ‘great, I’m going to go along and take a trip around the Pentagon and they’re gonna show me around.”
“I see CNN and the first question is Saudi Arabia, and the second question is ‘how do you solve Saudi Arabia?’,” Gerard recalled. “I go I don’t know, did we get the same memo. It was 32 minutes at the Pentagon and I still didn’t quite appreciate it until afterward when I saw photos and it was me standing in front of the Pentagon.”
Gerard also talked about working at Sea World when he was in college and tells a story about accidentally taking too much Ambien – Watch more after the cut!
