Harry Judd, 35, is well-known for his presenting role on The One Show as well as being part of much-loved boy band McFly. The star recently opened up to Express.co.uk about the news his wife is expecting a baby as he admitted he was feeling a bit “scared” about the situation.
The former Strictly Come Dancing winner revealed he and his wife, Izzy 37, were expecting a baby at the end of April.
Harry and Izzy already share two children, five-year-old Lola and three-year-old Kit.
Their third child is due in October and Harry opened up about the news during a recent chat with Express.co.uk.
He said: “It’s quite scary, I was very much of the opinion two is quite enough.
“But, Izzy certainly was not so I felt like I wasn’t completely averse to the idea and I just thought I will just for the rest of my life hear her saying, ‘Oh I want more children, I wish we’d had more children.’
“So I just thought I’m going to have to accept that I’m gonna lose this one.”
The McFly drummer also admitted how he wasn’t completely against the idea.
He continued: “Like I said, I wasn’t 100 per cent no, I was kind of 60/40 and then, you go, ‘Okay, go on then, let’s do it.’
“It’s hard to turn down the temptation of seeing what the third child would be like.
“And wouldn’t it be nice to see Lola and Kit with a baby?
“But, yeah, talk to me in about a year’s time and I’ll probably be like, ‘Oh my god.’”
Izzy and Harry also recently shared the moment they told their children the news.
Appearing in an adorable Instagram video, the doting parents wrote their kids a special note telling them the news.
They read out: “Lola, you are going to be a big sister again and Kit, you are going to be a big brother.
“Mummy has a baby in her tummy. Love mummy and daddy.”
Harry was talking as part of a new campaign with Simplyhealth all about mental health.
They’ve launched an e-book entitled Take A Breath, which encourages people to connect with nature as a way to disconnect from stress.
As an advocate for being open about this, as well as having written a book about his own experiences, it seemed a perfect fit for Harry.
He explained: “I’ve talked about my experiences in the past.
“I wrote a book about four years ago that talked about my experiences with mental health and fitness and what I found helpful.
“Someone reached out with the campaign and it was just totally in alignment with my thinking and thought process so it felt like a really natural partnership.”
Harry Judd has teamed up with Simplyhealth to raise awareness of the mental wellbeing benefits of nature. To inspire the nation to ‘Take a Breath’, they have created a free e-book with ideas to connect with nature. For each download, Simplyhealth will donate £5 to the Mental Health Foundation.
