Ivy Supersonic — the tattooed hat designer who now makes mystical watercolors — was a baby-sitter for Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner’s son, Jordan, until the couple moved out of her Union Square apartment building.
“It was two years ago,” Ivy told me. “Hillary [Clinton] was running for president. Anthony was playing ice hockey. And I was ‘Aunt Ivy.’ ”
The artist gave Abedin a print of her painting “The Fairy.” “It’s telepathic art you can talk to,” Ivy said. “I’m a psychic artist, and these are spirit paintings.”
The designer, born Ivy Silberstein, said Abedin was traveling a lot and needed child care.
“If I was available, I’d do it,” said Ivy, who said she cared for Jordan on 15 occasions. “I think Huma’s lovely. And Anthony was very cordial.”
The former congressman went to federal prison in Massachusetts last fall after pleading guilty to sexting a teenage girl. Abedin took Jordan, 6, to see his dad on Father’s Day before the boy went to summer camp. Weiner is due for release in May.
