Television chef James Martin got rather hot under the collar as he was cooking rice with guest Nisha Katona. The Saturday Morning host, 47, admitted he was “panicking” during the segment.
Nisha Katona instructed him to cook the rice up until the point of panicking.
She said: “Let it boil over oil you get to the panic point. Is it too wet? Is it too dry?”
James interjected: “I’m panicking now!”
Nisha said: “This is low threshold!” and said that the rice was still fine to continue cooking.

James still wasn’t so sure and added: “This is beyond the panicking point.”
He was then instructed to put a lid on the rice and put it on the “naughty step” off the hob and to one side for 10 minutes.
In this same episode, a defiant James declared he “didn’t care” and ignored the show’s producers demands to speed up his cooking demonstration.
Addressing the audience at home he said: “I’ve got the director shouting at me in my ear saying ‘we’re over time we’re over time.
To which the chef simply shrugged and said: “I don’t care!”
Early last month James was left shocked when guest Craig Revel Horwood admitted that he didn’t want to take on his Strictly Come Dancing role and that even thought it would make for “car crash” TV.
He said: “The BBC got a hold of me and asked will I come in and have a screen test of this new dance show where celebrities dance – called Strictly Come Dancing.
“And I asked, ‘Well, what does it entail?’

“And they said, ‘A celebrity will have to learn to dance with a professional and then they dance live in front of the TV’.
“And I said ‘That sounds like a car crash to me. Car crash TV, absolutely not.’”
Martin was left chuckling at his candid confessions.
Craig continued: “I said it sounds appalling. There’s absolutely no way a celebrity that has never danced before could possibly compete or come in with someone who has been training since.

“You know, it’s physically impossible. I said it’s just going to be awful that anyone would want to see basic steps.”
He then referenced James’ own Strictly appearance back in 2005 when he partnered with Camilla Dallerup.
Craig said: “But you proved me wrong.”
Laughing James retorted: “I don’t know if I proved you wrong.”
