Jeremy Clarkson, 61, has said he is “at a loss” regarding the current Covid rules. The Grand Tour star said the regulations had become “confusing” as the Prime Minister prepares to ease lockdown.
The father-of-three revealed that his daughter Emily, 26, has had to cancel her wedding twice amid the ongoing pandemic.
“It’s all so confusing,” he wrote in his column for The Sun.
“My daughter has had to postpone her wedding twice because having a couple of hundred people in a tent is not allowed.
“But there were 40,000 people at Wembley to watch England beat Germany and on Tuesday, nearly 10,000 were in the Centre Court at Wimbledon to see Andy Murray’s wife’s hair,” he went on to add.
Jeremy made his comments before Boris Jonson made his latest announcement regarding July 19’s unlocking.
When restrictions lift, legal requirements to wear masks and social distance will be scrapped.
In addition to this, the rule of six will no longer exist.
And there will be no limit to the number of guests allowed at a wedding.
In March 2020, Jeremy informed his followers that he was a “very happy father” while sharing a picture of his daughter showing off her engagement ring alongside her fiancé Alex.
On May 22 this year, he shared another family update.
The TV star posted a picture of the pair marking what would have been their wedding day.
“Should have been married today. Weren’t,” he simply captioned the snap.

In addition to Emily, Jeremy is also dad to Finlo and Katya, who he shares with his second wife Francis Cain.
The couple were married for 21 years from 1993 to 2014.
He was also briefly married to Alexandra James for one year in 1989.
Jeremy is currently in a relationship with Lisa Hogan, who made regular appearances in his Amazon Prime series Clarkson’s Farm.
The programme followed the presenter over the space of a year as he got to work on his farm in the Cotswolds.
Jeremy took to Twitter earlier this month after fans called for a second series of the show.
“Dear everyone. There has been some speculation that a second series of our farming programme has been commissioned.
“It hasn’t but we are hopeful,” he wrote, in view of his 7.3 million followers.
