Jesy Nelson is yet to congratulate Perrie Edwards after she announced the arrival of her first child.

Singer Jesy, 30, announced her decision to quitLittle Mix in December last year.

After parting ways with the group`, Jesy's former bandmates Perrie, 28, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 29, announced they were pregnant.

Months on, and Perrie has finally welcomed her newborn, who's name she is yet to reveal, to the world.

Perrie posted snaps of her adorable tot on her Instagram page and wrote in the caption: "Welcome to the world baby 21/08/21", followed by a heart emoji.

New mum Perrie and her partner Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were flooded with messages of congratulations from celebrity friends.

The singer's Little Mix bandmate Leigh-Anne, 29, gushed over her friend and said she was "so proud" in a sweet comment.

Leigh-Anne wrote: "I am so proud of you and I love you so much [cute face emoji] what an angel" followed by two red heart emojis and two heart eye emojis.

Meanwhile, Little Mix member Jade kept things lowkey as she liked Perrie's announcement post.

But former bandmate Jesy, who recently said she was hospitalised after suffering with panic attacks, is yet to like or comment on the post.

It comes just a day after Jesy opened up about her relationship with her former bandmates after leaving the band.

When asked if Jesy was still in touch with Perrie, Jade and Leigh-Anne she revealed: "No, not as much. Not now. I think we all need time. It’s a big thing that’s happened."

Jesy discussed Little Mix's future as Leigh-Anne and Perrie take the next stage in their lives.

Jesy told The Guardian: "I reckon they’ll look after their babies, go off and do their own things for a while, then make a comeback together.

"I think they’re just as sick as a three. They’re still doing it for girl power."

She added: "I still love them to pieces. They were like my sisters."

Elsewhere in the interview, Jesy discussed how her former bandmates had spoken to her mum after she suffered panic attacks.

Jesy had a panic attack during the music video shoot for Sweet Melody and another during the recording session for BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge.

Looking back, Jesy revealed she was hospitalised and "in a really dark place" when she decided to leave the group.

She tearfully recalled: "I had already decided. Then the girls spoke to Mum and said, ‘We think Jesy should come out of this now. She has to look after herself'."
