Benidorm star Johnny Vegas has confessed he has finally given up smoking and he gave all credit to pop star Madonna for her help.
The actor, 49, says he forced himself to dance to Madonna's hit Lucky Star every time he reached for a cigarette to help curb his habit.
The telly comic admitted the thought of breaking into a boogie in public stopped him from taking a fag, and he has now quit his 60-a-day addiction.
Johnny revealed to the Daily Star : "Every time I seriously consider having a cigarette I make myself dance for at least 10 seconds to her Lucky Star hit.
"It's not a good look for me and does actually help bolster the social embarrassment bit of my brain while it fights its corner against addiction."
The actor also tweeted the singing legend, saying: "Thanks @Madonna x".
He previously mentioned he tried to pack in the habit before but it made him pile on the weight.
However Johnny displayed his newly slender physique at the TV Choice Awards back in September at London Hilton's Park Lane after losing five stone .
Johnny, whose real name is Michael Pennington, revealed in an interview on Loose Women last year that he had "changed his lifestyle" and had "not been on a diet".
He said: "I am very careful about coming on and celebrating weight loss because it makes other people feel bad."
The star was snapped taking selfies and flirting up a storm with women while enjoying a cigarette break.
He was sporting a black suit and waistcoat paired with a flat cap, looking smart for the occassion.
"I have not done a diet in anyway whatsoever. I have cut out things, it's a lifestyle change – and not a drastic diet," he added.
