Kate’s subtle tribute to the Queen to introduce Prince Louis to the world

The world was blown away by how radiant the Duchess of Cambridge looked after giving birth to her third child on April 23.

Kate stepped out in a gorgeous red bespoke Jenny Packham dress with a lace collar and Gianvito Rossi heels, as she and William left the Lindo Wing with their newborn son Prince Louis.

And of course, the Duchess is never seen without her signature blowdried locks and flawless make-up, but there were also a couple of hidden messages behind her outfit.

Kate appeared to pay a sweet tribute to the Queen by wearing her pearl drop earrings. The silver jubilee diamond and pearl jewels used to be Her Majesty’s go-to pair for daytime engagements, but she regularly loans them out to other members of the royal family now.

We have seen them on Kate prior to last week, most notably during the 2016 royal tour of Canada, but we think it’s the loveliest nod to the Queen, who now has six great-grandchildren.
