KSI and Jake Paul fight 'isn't in the discussion' as he focuses on music career

KSI has debunked Jake Paul’s claims that the pair will be coming to blows in a boxing match in New York City, with the UK star focusing on his music career.

In an Instagram Q&A, a fan asked Jake: ‘When is the next fight?’ with the YouTuber answering: ‘After quarantine, jake paul vs ksi, madison square garden.’

However, KSI’s manager, Liam Chivers, has confirmed to Metro.co.uk that’s not the case, saying: ‘This year KSI Is focused on music.

‘Following his latest top 10 single ‘Houdini’, his album drops later this month. He was due to do festivals this summer, then tour in the Autumn / Winter.

‘Boxing will have to wait until after the music plans have been rescheduled and satisfied. Who knows when that will be at this time of uncertainty.

‘So therefore boxing isn’t yet in discussion at all. Although, we’ll start looking into options for 2021 later this year, if it fits into JJ’s plans at the time.’

KSI – real name Olajide ‘JJ’ Olatunji – has been mega busy with his music career, with the YouTuber smashing it in the charts.

The star’s just released his hit Houdini, and previously opened up to Metro.co.uk about his upcoming album.

Explaining that the record is split into two halves, JJ said: ‘It’s KSI and JJ, KSI’s what you see online, JJ’s a lot more personal.

‘I kind of wanted to show both sides of that, the first half is definitely KSI, big bravado, I’m popping, I’m sick, I’m undefeated, I’m always winning, blah blah blah.

‘And then halfway through [there’s] Wake Up Call, and that’s when it changes, as if I’ve woken up from what you see online and I realise it’s me and I show a bit more about my personal side – the things I don’t like talking too much about publicly.

‘I do it through song, that’s a really good way for me to portray that part of me.’

He added: ‘It’s both sides of the coin, of me, and I think people will appreciate it. I know there’s going to be a big reaction to certain songs. I’m letting people know how I feel about personal situations.’

We’re so ready.
