Lisa Armstrong shows solidarity with Sheridan Smith with impassioned tweet

Lisa Armstrong appeared to be in a sassy mood as she through her support behind a scathing tweet by actress Sheridan Smith.

The Strictly make-up artist, who is still locked in divorce talks with her ex partner Ant Mcpartlin, took sometime out to browse social media on Thursday.

Cilla actress Sheridan wrote to her 600,000 followers: "I seriously wonder how some people sleep at night."

Without mentioning any names, Lisa cryptically tweeted back: "I hear ya babe xx," followed by three kisses of solidarity.

Yesterday, it was revealed that Lisa is still negotiating the end of her marriage to Ant McPartlin 11 months after they officially separetly.

The I’m A Celebrity presenter and his Lisa split in late 2017, with Ant confirming their break-up with a solo statement in January.

After months of acrimonious talks about their finances and what can and can’t be made public, it Ant and Lisa have yet not come to a complete agreement about their final settlement.

Once they apply and are granted their decree absolute, both parties will be free to marry again if they wish.

Ant has already moved on with Anne-Marie Corbett – a romance that caused particular pain to Lisa as she used to work for the couple as their personal assistant.

Lisa filed for divorce after hearing of Ant’s new romance – and after sending scorching messages about the betrayal over Twitter.

She ended their marriage on the grounds of his adultery, which Ant admitted to, as he was still married when he started his new relationship.

Lisa also said in her legal papers that Ant was "intolerable to live with".

He had struggled with booze and prescription drug addition in the run-up to their split, and even admitted to making life hell for his wife and close friends.

In the run-up to this year’s I’m A Celebrity Ant announced that he would be stepping down from hosting as he concentrates on his sobriety.

Declan Donnelly handpicked This Morning’s Holly Willougby as his replacement, who has been a huge hit with viewers.

The launch episode, and Holly’s debt, saw 11 million viewers tuning in – up 700,000 on last year.
