The nominations were announced on Tuesday at The May Fair Hotel by actress Molly Wright – who was herself nominated for Young British/Irish Performer of the Year for her role in Apostas – and actor Lee Shone.
Multiple nominees today include Olivia Colman, Claire Foy, Christian Bale, Rachel Weisz, Richard E Grant and Daniel Kaluuya.

Rupert Everett is the most-nominated actor, earning three nods for The Happy Prince: as Actor, British/Irish Actor and Breakthrough British/Irish Filmmaker.
Meanwhile, Olivia has two nods, first competing for Actress Of The Year – where she will go up against Yalitza Aparicio (Roma); Glenn Close (The Wife); Toni Collette (Hereditary) and Joanna Kulig (Cold War).
She will then take on co-star Rachel Weisz for Best English/Irish Actress as well as Emily Blunt (Mary Poppins Returns, A Quiet Place, Sherlock Gnomes) Jessie Buckley (Beast) and Claire Foy (First Man, The Girl in the Spider’s Web, Unsane).
Rachel is also up for Best Supporting Actress, competing against Elizabeth Debicki (Widows); Cynthia Erivo (Bad Times at the El Royale); Claire Foy (First Man); Regina King (If Beale Street Could Talk) and Rachel Weisz (The Favourite).
Hoping to scoop Actor Of The Year will be Christian Bale (Vice); Rupert Everett (The Happy Prince); Ben Foster (Leave No Trace); Ethan Hawke (First Reformed) and Joaquin Phoenix (You Were Never Really Here).
Meanwhile, Christian and Rupert will also get another chance of a gong in the British/Irish Actor Of The Year category, where they will take on Steve Coogan (Holmes & Watson, Ideal Home, Stan & Ollie); Rupert Everett (The Happy Prince); Richard E Grant (Can You Ever Forgive Me, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms) and Daniel Kaluuya (Black Panther, Widows).
Supporting Actor Of The Year is set to be a tightly fought category with Adam Driver (BlacKkKlansman) taking on Richard E Grant (Can You Ever Forgive Me?); Michael B Jordan (Black Panther); Daniel Kaluuya (Widows) and Alessandro Nivola (Disobedience).
Transformed: Hoping to scoop Actor Of The Year will be Christian Bale for his role as Former Vice President Dick Cheney in Vice whilst he’s also up for British/Irish Actor Of The Year
Battling for Best Director on the night will be Alfonso Cuaron (Roma); Debra Granik (Leave No Trace) Yorgos Lanthimos (The Favourite) Pawel Pawlikowski (Cold War) and Lynne Ramsay (You Were Never Really Here).
Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar has been announced as the recipient of this year’s top honour, The Dilys Powell Award for Excellence in Film.
The Skin I Live In director said in response: ‘I have had a wonderful history with the London critics, and am thrilled to receive this special honour. I look forward to visiting London in January for the ceremony.’
Meanwhile, despite being shortlisted for five Golden Globes, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star is Born remake failed to make the cut – earning no nominations.
The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on Sunday, 20th January at The May Fair Hotel.
