Love Island’s Amber Gill loses her shoes in the street as she’s mobbed by fans

Love Island champ Amber Gill is catching her breath after being mobbed in the street by two overexcited male fans.

The 21 year-old, who triumphed in this year's series of Love Island alongside boyfriend Greg O'Shea , was walking at Notting Hill Carnival with fellow Islanders Yewande Biala and Anna Vakili when two men ran up and hugged her.

The moment was captured on video and shared on Reddit – and Amber's fans were outraged.

One fan scorned: "I never really understand why people act like that with famous people. It's so unbelievably rude."

They continued: "It's like people view them as subhuman and think they can/act however they like towards them because they have the fame and deserve horrid treatment, as the above, as a consequence of fame."

Another didn't hold back, writing: "I think it would've been perfectly acceptable if she pepper sprayed him.

"You can't grab or wrap your arm and tug on someone even if they are famous."

Love Island stars have a precedent of struggling with the sudden spotlight. Maura Higgins , who starred in the villa alongside Amber, recently took to Instagram to tell fans she was "completely burnt out".

Still, Amber didn't seem too upset by the debacle – the Geordie beauty posted a glamorous snap on Instagram after a bit of pampering.
