Love Island’s Dami slams Paige rumours as ‘boring’: ‘We know what we have as friends’

Love Island star Dami Hope has addressed the rumours that there are sparks between him and co-star Paige Thorne, labelling the claims "boring" in during a radio interview.

Dami, 26, appeared on the Capital XTRA Breakfast Show today to talk about his experience on the show, including his relationship with Love Island girlfriend, Indiyah Polack, 23, and also his close friendship with Paige.

Some fans have claimed Dami and Paige have chemistry, especially after he recently left a comment on a sexy snap of her saying: "Yussss gurllll" with a fire emoji.

Speaking to hosts Robert Bruce and Shayna Maria, Dami said: "I feel like the conversation with Paige now is a bit boring because we know what we have as friends and Indiyah does as well and everyone in there.

He continued: "People are just making up stuff and they keep running with it, obviously she’s a very affectionate person and she’s very jumpy and we used to hug in the beginning and all that but that’s just what friends do."

Dami also revealed that he and Paige played up to the rumours when they initially left the villa saying: "At first it was funny to be honest, I even came out and was like ‘Paige let’s play with the internet, we’ll get someone to record you running and jumping’ like ‘ let’s play into it’ because I know it’s jokes.

"But there are points in times where it’s so boring to feed into it because it’s just helping them keep chatting."

Dami was close friends with some of the boys in the villa too and told Captial XTRA that he's in a WhatsApp chat group with Andrew Le Page, 27, Luca Bish, 23, and Jacques O'Neill, 23, called the Fantastic Four.

He also revealed that Andrew has separated himself from the group though, saying: "Andrew's probably like you know, separated himself so it's like fantastic three…but it's still fantastic four at heart, but you know the situation so."

Dami said his family have all been proud of him since he exited the villa saying: "They've literally just all been like, 'we're so proud of you', do you know what I mean? Like ‘you've represented us so well’.

"Like we wouldn't have expected it to you know, be such a great outcome as it was, but everyone's been so supportive and like I feel like with me, I didn't realise how brave I actually am .You kind of realise a lot about yourself when you come out."

Tensions were running high today (August 16) as Dami seemingly lashed out at a fan who referred to Indiyah as his "little wife" in the street.

He was enjoying a sunny day out with beau Indiyah, 23, in Leicester Square, London, when they bumped into fan @pocketsfullsz who whipped out their camera to capture their chance meeting.

In the footage, the fan heads over to the third place Love Island couple and says: "Your man's here, Dami yeah", as Dami replies: “Yeah, you alright bro."

The young man then refers to Indiyah as his “little wife”, which immediately ticks off herself and Dami, who snaps back: "Your little what?" as he pushes the fan away, adding: "Relax bro. Chill, chill."
