A lucky punter has Huddersfield goalkeeper Jonas Lossl to thank for turning a £100 accumulator bet into a massive £110,000 windfall.
The gambler, who wishes to remain anonymous, placed a seven-fold bet online before last night’s matches.
They then correctly predicting that Huddersfield would nick a point (5/1) against Chelsea – with the Terrier’s Danish keeper pulling off a breathtaking second half save to repel Thomas Christensen’s header.
This gave David Wagner’s side a shock point which kept them in the Premier League.
The other big gamble was that Kilmarnock would manage the same away at Celtic (19/4) – where Steve Clarke’s men held on for a 0-0 draw.
In other matches they correctly guessed that Manchester City would beat Brighton and more surprisingly out-of-form Leicester would beat Arsenal.
Barcelona beating Villarreal in La Liga was a little more cut and dried, as was Tottenham securing a win over Newcastle at Wembley.
Lastly they guessed that Dumbarton would claim a win over Alloa in the Scottish Championship play-offs, which they did thanks to a sixth-minute Stuart Carswell goal.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "What an end to the season this punter has had.
"The stake was high but it all proved to be worthwhile in the end as no late drama was necessary for the monster bet to land."
