NBC News is quietly building a team for an experimental streaming service, we’re told.
Page Six has learned that a co-executive producer of “Megyn Kelly Today,” Christine Cataldi, has been moved over to the new venture.
“She’ll transition [from the morning show] toward the end of the month,” we’re told.
Meanwhile, Rashida Jones — SVP of specials at NBC News and MSNBC — will head up the project.
Insiders say that the network is preparing to post job listings for segment producers and plans to have a “large team” reporting to Jones, producing original content that they hope will attract younger cord-cutters looking for a way to get news without a cable subscription.
