Michelle Wolf jokes about White House Correspondents’ Dinner at Robin Hood gala
Michelle Wolf — who deeply divided the crowd at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner as emcee — joked at a gala for foundation Robin Hood, “Thanks for inviting me to your dinner, because the last dinner I was invited to . . . they may not have it anymore.”
At Monday’s Javits Center hedge fund event to raise millions to fight poverty were myriad moguls: Bill Gates, Steve Cohen, Lloyd Blankfein, Michael Bloomberg, Ray Dalio and David Tepper.
During the auction, Robin Hood founder Paul Tudor Jones took the stage in a Robin Hood costume.
He poked fun at the vanity of the crowd by insisting poverty would not exist if the wealthy crowd had given all the money they’d spent on beauty and Viagra in the past 30 years, and he sang “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother.”
Jennifer Lopez closed the night with a performance, as her beau Alex Rodriguez handed her a Yankees hat for “Jenny From the Block.”
Also at the gala were Oprah Winfrey, who gave a rousing speech, as well at Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, Gayle King, Cynthia Erivo, Colin Jost and Michael Che.
Robin Hood partnered with Greats sneakers for the event.
