This seems to be the moment Seann Walsh got dumped by his live-in girlfriend Rebecca Humphries after pictures of him kissing his Strictly Come Dancing dance partner Katya Jones emerged.
The snaps show a glum-looking Seann in the back of a taxi holding his head in his hand while Rebecca stonily stares out of the opposite window.
Although they’d been dating for five years, they couldn’t look less loved up if they tried – with Rebecca sitting as far away as possible in the back seat.
As both the Saturday and Sunday Strictly shows are filmed on Saturdays, Rebecca was in the audience for both episodes to support Seann.
She was caught on camera wiping away tears after he and Katya performed their passionate paso doble, although at the time they seemed to be tears of pride, not hurt.
But the snogging pictures – taken last Wednesday, on the night of Rebecca’s birthday – dropped just as the Sunday show was being filmed at the Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, Herts.
As audience members aren’t permitted to have their phones on them while filming is going on, Rebecca would have been left in the dark until she was given her phone back – and may well have been alerted to the pictures by a friend or relative.
She and Seann would have then endured an awkward ride back to their shared home in east London, where they lived with their cat – which is now with Rebecca full time.
With the whole of Sunday to draft their prepared statements, Seann and Katya both maintained a public silence on social media, while Rebecca broke hers by liking a love heart emoji tweeted to her by a friend.
At 8.30pm on Sunday, the carefully prepped statements were tweeted out on Seann and Katya’s accounts.
Seann’s read: "In light of the story in today’s newspaper I would like to offer my sincere apologies for my actions. This is no excuse but it was a one-off drunken mistake which I am truly sorry for."
But he failed to mention Rebecca in any way – hinting by that point the relationship was already over.
Married Katya, on the other hand, gushed about husband Neil Jones, who works as a choreographer on the show and would have worked closely with Seann on their dance routines.
Her statement said: "I’m so sorry about any offence or hurt I may have caused with my actions. I wasn’t thinking and it was a one-off mistake after some drinks. I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship."
Rebecca herself took more than 24 hours to get her situation sorted, including moving out of their house and leaning on her circle of close friends for support.
She updated fans on her heartbreak with a powerful message, revealing she’d "received nothing" from Seann or Katya, despite their public apologies.
"Those pictures were taken on October 3, it was my birthday. I was alone at home when Sean texted at 10pm saying the two of them were going for one innocent drink," she recalled.
"We spoke, and I told him, not for the first time, that his actions over the past three weeks had led me to believe something inappropriate was going on.
"He aggressively and repeatedly called me a psycho/nuts/mental. As he has done countless times throughout our relationship when I’ve questioned his inappropriate, hurtful behaviour," she went on.
"But – this whole business has served to remind me that I am a strong, capable person who is now free: and no victim."
Rebecca urged other women in similar relationships to trust their instincts, adding that controlling men are often motivated by their own insecurities and vulnerabilities.
"Despite everything I hope he gets what he wants from this. I’m not sorry I took the cat, though," she added.
