Gardeners’ World presenter Monty Don, 65, has sparked a frenzy amongst his 766,000 Instagram followers today by sharing the transformation that takes place each year in his garden. The horticulturalist posted two photos to show the changes that occur with the seasons in the space, which he and his wife Sarah Don have named the Jewel Garden.
The first picture, which Monty captured today, showed a path in the outdoor space, fringed with empty flower beds.
The trees surrounding the area were also bare, as they had lost their leaves due to the wintry conditions.
A terracotta pot could then be seen at the end of the path.
However, in the second snap, which Monty revealed he had taken last July in the exact same spot, the pot was almost hidden due to the abundance of flowers surrounding it.

The path had been taken over by beautiful greenery and multicoloured flowers.
The sun soaked garden looked almost unrecognisable in comparison to its minimalist appearance in winter.
Explaining the contrasting pictures, Monty penned: “It is hard to explain just how much the Jewel Garden grows each year, but these two pictures give an idea: the first taken today (new path) the second last July.”
Fans rushed to the comments section of the American Gardens host to gush over the amazing photos.
One person wrote: “Amazing how different it looks! Love seeing comparison pics.”
Another added: “This is absolutely amazing to see. Gives hope for any bare garden at the moment.”
A third fan said: “So beautiful! I love looking at the transformation of our garden from winter to summer – it’s magical.”
A fourth person replied: “You’re on the way. You work soooo very hard, but you reap the rewards.”

A fifth fan responded: “Incredible! Your garden is endless inspiration.”
“Your jewel garden is beautiful I love all the vivid colours,” another Instagram user wrote.
Monty previously posted a series of pictures on Instagram to illustrate the “changing face” of his garden after it was “ravaged” by box blight.
The particular section of Longmeadow had undergone quite a transformation, after the show stopping box hedging was destroyed.
The box hedge, also known as Buxus hedge or Buxus sempervirens, with its vibrant green leaves was the focal point of the area and framed the main pathway.
In the last couple of weeks, Monty has dug up the hedging leaving a section of empty bedding ready to be replanted.
The star’s pictures showed the same pathway at different times of the day and in different weather conditions.
“The changing face of the Jewel Garden,” the BBC favourite captioned the snaps.
