Mourinho seeking help from Gary Neville to help solve Champions League problem

Jose Mourinho is ready to turn to Gary Neville in a bid to solve Manchester United’s tardy Champions League problem.

The Red Devils have arrived at Old Trafford late for both of their fixtures in Europe so far this season.

The club were hit with a €15,000 fine by UEFA after the kick off for their clash with Valencia had to be put back by five minutes having arrived at the ground just under half an hour late due to traffic.

Then three weeks later, despite moving from their usual hotel to the Hilton Garden Hotel, which is closer to the ground, United again struggled to get to Old Trafford ahead of their match with Juventus .

Jose Mourinho decided to get off the bus and walk to the stadium, while his players were stuck on the vehicle for 45 minutes.

Now, United bosses are not going to take any risks for their last group stage game against Young Boys on November 27.

Instead of staying at the Lowry or another plush city hotel before the game, Mourinho’s men are now looking at booking space at Hotel Football – which is owned by Neville and fellow Class of 92 member Ryan Giggs.

A United source told the Sun: “The situation is again being reviewed after the Juventus drama. It has been a shambles if truth be told.

“Hotel Football was flagged up as a suggestion and it would solve the recent travel issues, certainly in terms of the logistics.

“United would have to make the approach but even then, Ryan and Gary have no problem booking the place out on match weekends, so might be conflicted if the call comes."
