There’s a baby on board for “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams and boyfriend Dennis McKinley.
“I am happy, healthy… and pregnant,” the reality fixture announced on Instagram Wednesday morning.
She also gave an interview to People, in which she relayed her joy and shock in discovering the news.
“When I found out I was pregnant, I was excited [but] I had mixed feelings,” Williams, 37, said. “The other feeling that I had beside excitement was fear.”
As she explained, Williams suffered a miscarriage six years ago and that experience still looms over her.
“I suffer with fibroids and had to have a myomectomy (a procedure that removes uterine fibroids),” she said. “So just the fear of, ‘Is the baby going to be okay? Will I make it full term?’ All those questions that you ask if you’ve had a miscarriage before.”
She did not announce her due date.
Williams had nothing but positive things to say about her boyfriend, McKinley. “The thought of me getting that blessing after praying for it for so long and getting that blessing with someone who is just as excited as me – it’s Dennis’ first child, just like me – and it’s something we’ve both always wanted … It’s like a dream come true,” she said.
The pair has been dating for roughly a year and this experience has brought them closer.
The couple doesn’t know the sex of their baby yet, but they’re already jotting down a list of possible names.
“One of the names that we got rid of that he liked was Napoleon,” she quipped. “One of the names that he absolutely settled on – I’m not settled on it yet – is PJ. PJ stands for Porsha Jr. He wants to name our daughter Porsha Jr.”
