‘RHONJ’ star Dolores Catania is moving to New York

Dolores Catania is in a New York state of mind.

The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star exclusively revealed to Page Six she is moving to the Big Apple for the summer.

“I got an apartment in the city,” she told us at Dolce Aesthetics NY‘s beauty mixer earlier this week. “I always dreamed about living in the city.”

Dolores, 49, shared that she will be moving to the Financial District in May. Her new downtown pied-à-terre will also serve as home for her son, Frank Catania Jr., during his upcoming summer internship at the upscale investment bank, Oppenheimer & Co. Inc.

However, Frank will likely be working up to 16 hours a day — as Dolores previously mentioned to us, so she is hoping the new pad will also serve as a place for her to host gatherings for her gal pals.

“Frankie’s not going to be there,” the reality star said. “There’s a rooftop, and I’m, like, ‘Woah. I’m going to have friends over.’ I’ve never had that before.”

Fans of “RHONJ” will recall that Dolores’ ex-husband, Frank Catania Sr., is building a house for her boyfriend Davide Principe on the current season.

The unlikely trio moved into Dolores’ home together, after filming wrapped, until Principe’s new house was ready, but now that the New Jersey home is expected to be completed soon, Dolores is still not sold on moving in with her man.

“David will probably be moving into his house, like, this week,” she said, adding that she won’t be moving in with him because she is “finally just getting used to my freedom.”

“The first half of my life was for everyone: My kids, my family, my ex-husband, anybody who was in my life,” she said. “Before I have that [again], I would like to get to know myself better. I’m working with a shaman. I’m doing a lot of spiritual stuff. I’m a devout Catholic, but I think there’s so much more to learn, and I want a clear mind before I make any other decisions in my life.”

When asked if Principe’s reluctance to propose informed her move to New York, Dolores noted, “It’s not just a ring. I think that even if there was — I think its the timing for me. He didn’t. And I’m kind of glad he didn’t because now my mindset isn’t there anymore.”

It remains to be seen how Dolores’ new zip code will affect their relationship, but the “Housewife” shared that she is looking forward to her newfound freedom in New York City.

“I am not single, but not engaged. Not married,” she said. “I envision walking around. My friend told me that there’s all vendors and stuff by South Street Seaport. I’m going. My boyfriend works seven days a week.”

However, the couple does have plans to spend Valentine’s Day together — unless duty calls and the doctor is summoned back to work.

“For Valentine’s Day, he’s taking me to the Rainbow Room,” Dolores dished. “Could you imagine if he proposed there? Oh my God.”

If Principe has to cancel — which “RHONJ” fans have seen him do often on the show — the reality star said she would “go alone.”
