Kanye West is a Deadpool fan, even though he took some issues with the music in the film.
“I love both Deadpool movies,” West, 41, tweeted Tuesday alongside fire emojis. “I heard tracks in it that sound similar to mine… bro I would have cleared my music for Deadpool.”
He added, “your guys writing and approach is so innovative … I love how you guys break the 4th wall… thank you for being innovative and please know I’m down to clear next time.”
The soundtrack to the first “Deadpool” film consists of an original score, plus “Angel of the Morning” by Juice Newton, “X Gon’ Give it to Ya” by DMX, “Shoop” by Salt-n-Pepa, “Calendar Girl” by Neil Sedaka and “Careless Whisper” by George Michael.
The music from “Deadpool 2” includes tracks by Skrillex, Diplo and Tyler Bates, as well as Dolly Parton classic “9 to 5,” “We Belong” by Pat Benatar, “In Your Eyes” by Peter Gabriel, “All Out of Love” by Air Supply, Cher classic “If I Could Turn Back Time” and “Ashes” by Céline Dion.
“Deadpool” star Ryan Reynolds was just as baffled by West’s claim as the rest of us, but remained a good sport.
“Agree,” Reynolds, 41, replied to West. “I’m having a word with Céline Dion.”
