Shawn Mendes is one of the many celebrities who’s a big fan of K-pop group BTS and hasn’t been afraid to show it. After he met the guys at last year’s American Music Awards, he said, “They were so sweet. They were probably the most beautiful guys I’ve ever seen in my life. Truly I didn’t know humans existed that beautiful.”
He then said he thinks the group is “incredible” and “would love to” do a collaboration in the future. Well, it looks like the future is now, because the 19-year-old is now promising that we can expect a duet.

“It’ll happen,” he told Kiss 92.5’s The Roz & Mocha Show
But sadly, BTS is “a hard group to get with.”
“They’re busy people,” Shawn explained. “I have no lyrics on their collaboration yet. It’ll happen. Promise. I can’t give you a date because we haven’t hung out and wrote a song yet, but it will happen. ‘Cause I love them and I think — their fans too. So I promise.”
Shawn, any way we can get you to shake on it? Cross your heart, hope to die, stick a needle in your eye? Stick out your pinky finger? A promise is a promise, so you’re going to need to follow through on this one. KTHANKSBYE!
