Simone Biles Is Already Rich, but She's About to Get Even Richer After the 2020 Tokyo Olympics

Simone Biles is the most decorated gymnast literally of all time, which means she has a sh*t ton of gold medals under her belt. But with all those gold medals must come unimaginable levels of wealth, amirite or amirite? Since leaping into our hearts at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Simone has been booked and busy getting that coin, and no surprise to anyone, is incredibly rich as a result.

So if you, my friend, are just dying to know the inner workings of Simone’s bank account (aren’t we ALL), read on to know what a gymnast of her caliber can expect to make per year. You’re welcome!

Let’s Discuss the Olympics

Not to make you feel totally inadequate or anything, but Simone took home a whopping five medals—four gold, one bronze—at the 2016 Rio Olympics. (Meanwhile, I can barely get off the couch.) It takes a lot to represent America in the Olympics, and Simone surely isn’t doing that for $free.99!

According to CNBC, U.S. Olympians “earn $37,500 for each gold medal they win this year, $22,500 for each silver and $15,000 for each bronze. In team sports, each team member splits the pot evenly.” Mind you, these are the numbers for 2018—CNBC said the figures increased by 50 percent from the 2016 Olympic Games. This means Simone racked up about $82,500 to $100,000 for her winning streak in Rio. If Simone is able to pull off a similar winning streak at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics this year, that means she’ll walk away with at least $165,000 in earnings!

Did someone say endorsements?

When you’re as talented as Simone Biles (a girl can dream), companies will naturally want to slap your face on everything to help sell product—can you blame them? Most recently, Simone left Nike to work with Athleta, where she’ll work on designing products and capsule collections.

In addition to working with Athleta, Simone also has endorsements with SK-II, Hershey’s, Uber Eats, Candid Dental, Kellogg’s, Mattress Firm, and Beats by Dre. The more, the merrier!

Of course she sells gymnastics wear and equipment

We’ll have to wait a while before we can get our hands on that Athleta x Simone drip, but Simone already has a gorgeous line of leotards with GK Elite. 10/10 will be picking one of these up for my adult gymnastics class.

And why not sell some actual gymnastics equipment to go with those leotards?

Simone’s Instagram would also like a word

Simone has over 4.3 million followers on her Instagram page, which means there are TONS of opportunities to earn major bank by posting #sponcon to her account! Shoot, in the past week alone, Simone’s already done two ads for Oreo and Core Power, which you can peep below:

Sooo, what’s Simone’s net worth?

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Simone is sitting pretty on a $6 million fortune—not too shabby for the best gymnast in the world right now. Please excuse me while I grab the nearest pillow and cry about my poor-ness!
