Steph McGovern, 38, gave her Instagram followers an insight into her family life as she enjoyed her Saturday night. The Steph’s Packed Lunch host welcomed her baby with her partner in 2019.

The Channel 4 presenter, rarely speaks about her private life, but has since described how she enjoyed a relaxing evening.

In view of her 26,200 Instagram followers, the TV host showed some takeaway food peeking out of a cardboard bag on the table in front of her with the television on in the background.

Steph captioned the post: “Perfect Saturday night…

“Baby asleep. Drinking wine. Eating takeaway. Watching Motherland.”

A beverage could be spotted on the table, as the small-screen star enjoyed some downtime with her loved ones.

Steph tends to keep her relationship out of the public eye.

Although her girlfriend’s name hasn’t yet been revealed, it has been reported that she works as a TV executive.

The couple share a one-year-old daughter, whose name they have not publicly revealed.

The Steph’s Packed Lunch host recently opened up about being a mum and explained how she likes to spend her downtime.

The Channel 4 host revealed how weekends are solely for her loved ones now she has waved goodbye to her “workaholic” days.

“Now Saturdays and Sundays are about my partner and my daughter,” Steph said.

“My perfect Saturday is taking my little girl swimming, then we’ll go out for lunch with her, which is chaos but we pretend it’s fine.”

She added to The Sun’s TV magazine: “And then having friends round for a bottle of wine and a gossip.

“A lot of my pals are friends I’ve had forever, so we have a real giggle.”

The mum-of-one previously branded her past year “full-on”, after taking on major commitments both in her private and work life.

The TV star dished all during a candid interview on Zoe Ball’s BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show.

When asked how she was feeling about life before the pandemic struck, Steph exclaimed: “Quite nervous.”

She commented: “I felt like I was doing lots of new things at once.

“I’d just moved to North Yorkshire from Manchester, I’d just had a baby and I’d just left a job I’d been in since I was 19, at the BBC.”

Steph added: “It was full-on. But actually, I shouldn’t have worried at all at the beginning – because none of it turned out how I imagined.”

Steph’s Packed Lunch airs on weekdays on Channel 4 at 12.30pm.
