Stormzy deletes Instagram and Twitter as he disappears from social media

Fans of Stormzy were left wondering where the rapper had disappeared to as he mysteriously deleted his Instagram and Twitter accounts on Thursday.

After announcing he had been awarded the first ever Greggs black card earlier in the day, fans were surprised to find his social media accounts were deactivated later in the day.

They began to question where the 26-year-old artist had gone all of a sudden, tweeting: ‘What is going onnnnnn @stormzy’.

Others added: ‘Has Stormzy deleted his social media?!’ and ‘What’s going on with @stormzy Twitter account??’

Earlier in the day, Stormzy had tweeted about his unlimited free Greggs thanks to his new and exclusive black card.

He shared a video of the package he received, which included a video of all of his achievements which played when he opened the box.

Stormzy could be heard in the background saying: ‘Are you f***ing mad? Go on the boy.’

As well as the card granting him free steak bakes and yum yums whenever he chooses, the package also came with some black Greggs-branded slippers. Because you need ultimate comfort while nomming delicious food, of course.

There has been no word yet on why Stormzy has decided to take an unexpected break from social media, but his accounts quietly vanished on Thursday evening.

The rapper had also been embroiled in a long and ongoing Twitter feud with Wiley, with the pair tweeting back and forth for the past few months.

Despite Wiley asking Stormzy to go head to head with him on stage, the rapper had been shutting him down with one-word tweets of late, seemingly fed up of engaging in the beef.

While a break from social media can definitely be a good thing, here’s hoping Stomzy will be back on soon. has contacted Stormzy’s reps for comment.
