Take a look inside Tamzin Outhwaite’s north London home

As Mel Owen in EastEnders, she lives with her son Hunter in London’s East End.

However, in real-life, actress Tamzin Outhwaite lives in a rather more plush pad than her Albert Square terrace.

The mother-of-two, 47, regularly gives fans an insight to her home life in Crouch End, north London on her Instagram account.

The soap star lives in a five-bedroom, £1.7million home with her boyfriend Tom Child, 26, her daughters, Florence, 10; and Marnie, six, and their chihuahua Pip.

Her large garden, which features an expansive decking area, is regularly featured in videos as she shows off her yoga skills.

The period house features a large open-plan kitchen with white units and an island, with folding doors giving an ‘outdoors indoors’ feel during the summer months.

The self-confessed DIY fan has also showed off her daughter Florence’s cosy pink bedroom after redesigning it herself.

In addition to a white kitchen, Tamzin previously admitted she decorated her lounge in the shade too, dubbing it ‘the white room’.

Tamzin, who returned to EastEnders last year after a long absence, has lived in Crouch End for years and is heavily involved in the local community.

Speaking to a local website a few years ago, she said she was so fond of the area, she couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.

She enthused: "Crouch End is really the only place in England I would live, I always bring people here and convert them to the area. There is lots of green space, great independent shops, restaurants and supermarkets."

Tamzin’s boyfriend Tom moved in with her and her children in April after quietly dating since last year.

The actress split from her ex-husband Tom Ellis in 2013 after he apparently confessed to an affair with his Once Upon A Time co-star Emilie de Ravin.
