Teddy Geiger makes first red carpet appearance since announcing transition

Singer Teddy Geiger hit the red carpet for the first time since announcing her plans to transition in 2017.

Geiger, 29, attended the BMI Pop Awards at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills on Tuesday donning a black patterned dress cinched at the waist and low black heels.

The “For You I Will” singer revealed the transition news in an Instagram comment in October.

“Okay…because u asked nicely… I am transitioning,” Geiger wrote. “I started talking about it with a couple of my close friends and family about a month ago and it’s given me the courage to start the process.”

In November, she began hormone replacement therapy.
