In a time of video chats, TikTok dances and Zoom calls, it’s unsurprising that Her Majesty the Queen has also had to jump aboard the digital bandwagon.

However, luckily for the 94 year old, she has her daughter Princess Anne on hand to teach her all of the nifty tips and tricks associated with Zoom calling – and we wish we had the same kind of help when it came to our work meetings via the video conferencing app!

Queen Elizabeth, who recently attended a "scaled down" Trooping the Colour event, took part in her first public video call last month too support the nation’s carers and she had to take to Zoom as a result.

In an intriguing insight into the life of the royals, Anne asks Her Majesty: “Can you see everybody? You should have six people on your screen,” as we’re offered a behind-the-scenes look in an ITV documentary which marked Princess Anne’s 70th birthday.

We then hear the Queen reply saying: “Yes, well I can see four anyway,” to which Anne, 69, replies: “Actually, you don't need me. You know what I look like!”

And it’s quite the playful exchange, with Anne smiling away as she pokes fun at the Queen as she gets to grips with Zoom.

Everything begins as the Queen's Assistant Private Secretary Tom Laing-Baker introduces the Queen, in a chat which took place during National Carers’ Week.

Anne, upon the introduction of the Queen, says: “Ah. Good morning at Windsor,” and the Queen then replies: “Good morning. I'm very glad to have been able to join you.”

Her Majesty then listens to various women discussing their experiences and she asked questions about the pressures they were facing.

The Queen, who recently attended her granddaughter Princess Beatrice’s wedding, sits in an incredibly grand room in the Zoom call, wearing a delightful floral dress in scenes a little different than most of our home office set-ups.

And social media users were loving the mother and daughter chat, with one person writing: “Brilliant. Princess Anne is great and it's been lovely watching the Queen during lockdown. Can't wait to watch this.”

Another added: “One is amused. Awesome,” while a third simply wrote: “Puts a smile to my face!”

And a fourth, also finding the video chat amusing wrote: “Lol, got to love Anne.” [sic]
