Alternative R&B artist The Weeknd has become the 7th act to ever cross the double-digit barrier on the number of times that one of his songs has reigned Billboard‘s Rhythmic Songs Airplay chart.
With the singer’s “Heartless” climbing to the no. 1 spot from no. 3 on the chart dated February 8, the Starboy has now had 10 songs appear at the top of the list, including “Love Me Harder,” “Pray For Me” from Black Panther and “Love Me Harder” with Ariana Grande, thereby joining the ranks of Drake, Rihanna, and Lil Wayne, who have achieved this feat 26, 17 and 11 times, respectively.
Meanwhile, his most recent single, “Blinding Lights” recently rose in popularity down under to become the No. 1 single in Australia.
He also took the song to the stages of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” where he delivered a heart-throbbing performance of the song, dressed much as the same as in the official music video for the song, complete with a block-red suit and bloody nose.
