Twitter’s wildest theories about what Clooney and Corden’s Royal Wedding chat
Viewers tuning in to watch coverage of the Royal Wedding have been driven wild by the appearance of George Clooney and James Corden striking up conversation.
The 57-year-old American Oscar winning actor and the 39-year-old British late night talkshow host were among the guests that witnessed the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Saturday.
But viewers tuning in all over the world to watch the procession were surprised to witness George and James appearing to get on like a house on fire.
Consequently, fans couldn’t help but speculate exactly what the two chaps would be discussing as they rubbed shoulders among other famous faces including Marcus Mumford, Carey Mulligan, Priyanka Chopra and Oprah Winfrey.
Naturally, some fans speculated James would be trying to convince George to appear on his famous car singing segment on his show, with one twitter user imagining the British star would be saying: "come and do carpool karaoke ‘come and do carpool karaoke ‘come and do carpool karaoke."
While another took this idea a step further and suggested: "I’m predicting James Corden’s #CarpoolKaraoke with George Clooney in the groom’s carriage!" – however George has participated in Carpool Karaoke in the past (back in 2016).
Others suggested James (who is the face of Confused.com) and George (who is the face of Nespresso coffee) would be trying to sell products to each other.
"James Corden trying to sell car insurance to George Clooney, who in turn is doing his best to sell coffee,” one twitter user suggested, and another saying: "Looks like James Corden is putting together a deal with George Clooney."
Some fans were overjoyed to see the pair striking up a friendship, with one writing: "I would want to hang out exclusively with James Corden and George Clooney at this wedding” and another tweeting: "James Corden giggling like a school girl talking to George Clooney. Super cute."
However, others suggested that George should distance himself from the talk show host – who is known for provoking a chalk-and-cheese-esque reaction from many.
"Ah, look at George Clooney politely bearing with James Corden,” one twitter user said, with anther saying: "Clooney and Corden having a natter, wise up George you’re better than that."
And, of course, there were many more who took to social media to declare their distaste of James Corden.
"Ah, Sereena. Ah, George Clooney. Phwoar, David Beckham. Shit, James Corden *switches off*” tweeted one.
While another didn’t mince their words, tweeting: "Makes me sick seeing that fat f**k Corden speaking to Clooney like they’re old pals. I’m a million times funnier than him. I should be at that wedding getting new Instagram pics not him."
