When is Queer Eye: We’re in Japan! being released on Netflix?
The fourth season of Netflix’s super popular Queer Eye reboot only dropped in July, but fans who binge-watched the whole thing are already clamoring for more of that sweet, sweet Fab Five content.
Season 5 of the hit makeover show is due for release next year. But, according to Variety, who confirmed Queer Eye had been green-lit once again, and that production began in Philadelphia earlier this summer, those eager to spend more time with Tan France, Jonathan Van Ness, Antoni Porowski, Karamo Brown, and Bobby Berk won’t have to wait until then to see them again.
Here's when Queer Eye: We're in Japan! drops, and what you can expect to see
In fact, the highly-anticipated, sort-of spin-off show, Queer Eye: We’re in Japan! which sees the Fab Five heading to, you’ve guessed it, Japan, will be hitting our screens very soon indeed. Time Out reports the four-episode mini-series will drop on Netflix November 1. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the Japan-set special edition of the show all year, as the Fab Five posted intriguing shots from the Tokyo streets on social media.
Queer Eye: We’re in Japan! will see four Japanese men and women being given the full Queer Eye treatment, with the Fab Five making over their wardrobes, homes, and lives. Although it’s usually just the guys working their magic, in Japan, they’ll be joined by two of the country’s most famous female TV personalities.
Netflix Japan released a teaser to give fans a taste of what they can expect from the mini-series, featuring Japanese fashion icon Kiko Mizuhara, who shows the Fab Five around town as they check out all that Toyko has to offer, and beloved comedian Naomi Watanabe, who pops up to partake in some martial arts training. Watanabe is known as Japan’s answer to Beyoncé thanks to her wild dance videos and lovable personality, so she might even give live-wire JVN a run for his money in the energy department (if that’s humanly possible).
