White House reporter really didn’t want to be Omarosa’s bridesmaid

In her soon-to-be-released book, White House reporter April Ryan hilariously describes her attempts to wriggle out of being Omarosa Manigault’s bridesmaid.

In the tome, “Under Fire,” the veteran journalist — who had been pals with Omarosa since the latter worked for Al Gore in the ’90s — says that Omarosa texted her after she got engaged to John Allen Newman, saying, “I said yes to him! Now will you say yes to me? Be my bridesmaid?”

But Ryan says that, because her relationship with the reality-star-turned-White-House-aide had become strained during the Trump administration, she didn’t want to do the duty.

“It became increasingly difficult to avoid her constantly approaching me to get a commitment to be her bridesmaid,” Ryan writes.

The CNN analyst says that her friendship with Omarosa — who has her own controversial book out about her time in the White House — was made difficult because of Omarosa’s then-close relationship with President Trump, who had feuded with Ryan.

“Everything was fine until I got in the way of what her boss wanted, which was to attack the press,” Ryan writes in the book, which is out next month from Rowman & Littlefield.
